Ffolly

An exhibition of Rut Blees-Luxembrug’s photographs of Swansea held at the city’s Glynn Vivian Gallery in 2003, juxtaposing work made there with a series of spaces mimicking the topography of the town itself. Views up a ramp towards an image of the DVLA building, that towers over the city, and a descent down into an immersive atmosphere of images of the sea. A mimetic city experience - built economically from plywood boards, smelling of the timber pallets and packing cases of the harbour; blurring the distinction between exhibition and urban spaces.
